Poorly Watched Girls, Valley | Suzanne Bocanegra

Edited Visual Assets. In Poorly Watched Girls, Suzanne Bocanegra explores the ways that our popular entertainments theatricalize women in trouble—spiritual trouble, emotional trouble, and romantic trouble. Inspired by an opera, a film, and a ballet, Bocanegra, whose work involves large-scale installation and performance, draws on the breadth of her practice to create a multidisciplinary contemporary art experience. Blending elements from performing and visual arts—textile, collage, performance, staging, video, and original music—she blurs the boundary between the black box of the theater and the white box of the museum. Valley is a restaging of Judy Garland’s screen tests from Valley of the Dolls.

Reef Frame Your World | OceanX

Edited Visual Assets. Although they cover just .2% of the ocean floor, reefs support 25% of marine life—but that's really just the start of why we need to protect corals. From medical breakthroughs to coastal protection, there's no shortage of unexpected ways we humans depend on coral reefs. This little-known truth was the subject of OceanX’s 2023 OOH activation in collaboration with the Tiffany & Co. Foundation. The campaign ran in the New York City subway system during NY Climate Week.
